Mainstudio’s work gives viewers a sense of what cutting-edge graphic design is all about in a matter of seconds. Set up by Edwin van Gelder in 2005, Mainstudio have embedded inventive printing techniques within traditional media and explored the physical properties of innovative interaction design to create work from the comfort of their studio in Amsterdam. From publications, digital media, and visual identities, we are enamoured with how their portfolio reflects the company’s heavy focus on clean, sleek design and typography and also how they choose colour palettes that let the use of paper materials shine through.
