An exciting collaboration between Designers & Books, The Center for Italian Modern Art in New York, the Mart, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, Italy, will result in a first time ever publish of an exact facsimile of the revered artist book by Fortunato Depero, Depero Futurista 1927 (also known as the Bolted Book). Reviewed as “the junction point were art history, design history and book history all collide”, the newly published publication will be available in July just in time to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the original publication of the book. As with the original, the bolts that bind the book can be removed, allowing it to be disassembled and the pages to be displayed as individual pieces of art.
Filled in these beautiful pages is an assortment of exceptional futuristic typography and layouts, each page carefully constructed so that each graphic layout doubles up as a fabulous piece of art. A publication donated to celebrating the futuristic movement and its artists, the book urges Futurists from all over the world to proudly declare themselves and be officially affiliated.
Now available by special arrangement for additional pre-publication purchase until February 28, 2017 ONLY.
