We featured The Jaunt way back in Element 001 of our magazine Print Isn’t Dead. The Jaunt is a wonderful concept that combines the two best things in life: art & travel. Over the last two years, The Jaunt has organised a variety of trips with artists such as Niels ‘Shoe’ Meulman, Jordy van den Nieuwendijk, David Shillinglaw and Mike Perry, sending them to places as magical as Helsinki, Istanbul, Antwerp, Los Angeles and beyond for inspiration. On their return each artist creates a unique artwork that captures the essence of their trip.
In it’s first publication The Jaunt has gathered together all the stories, drawings, snapshots and keepsakes from the artists’ trips. Featuring exclusive interviews with the artists about their creative process, and containing unique sketches and photos ‘Combining The Two Best Things In Life’ offers a behind-the-scenes look at the enjoyable jaunts that the artists have completed.
