To tackle the acute housing crisis in Sweden, Stockholm-based creative agency Snask together with SABO have built an interactive paper city in order for local people to learn about the economic situation and share their opinions. The housing situation in Sweden is now one of the biggest talking points in the country. For this reason, The Swedish Association of Public Housing Companies have come up with a solution which is to build Kombohus; a place of residence that can be built at 25% lower cost.
With the concept From Words to Housing, the paper city is photographed with a street-view camera so that visitors to the website can experience a 360° panorama. The visitors could virtually walk around in it and get inspired by quotes about the housing situation collected from local people. Whats more, visitors could share their point of view in the hope of putting pressure on the local housing authorities.
