As any print fanatic will attest, if youre not in the studio printing yourself the next best thing is geeking out on photos from the print world. Its an addiction, and were addicted. Which is why were super excited by Make Good Print Co.s latest print project and the chance to share some behind-the-scenes content from a very beautiful collaboration between Father and Studio Moross.
If you dont know Father by name, chances are you know them by sound. Father are the sound design duo behind projects including the Parklife Festival animations and Anna Ginsburg’s recent International Womens Day film for CNN. They recently celebrated their 4th year in business and wanted a print to mark the occasion.
Enter Mica Warren and Hannah Buckman at Studio Moross who were tasked with turning Fathers logo into an archaeological themed illustration. Printed using waterbased ink onto Lambeth Cartridge paper and featuring 5 layers of tightly registered colour the result is a real gem. It is produced in a limited run of 100, each lovingly printed by hand by Make Good Print Co. in South East London. After being trimmed down the finished prints were signed and editioned by the artist before being shipped out to a selection of very lucky recipients.
Fortunately for us, the guys at Make Good Print Co. documented the production process in a series of photos and films. Alongside detail shots of the finished piece, were also thrilled to be able to share some of the behind-the-scenes action for all you fellow print addicts out there. Enjoy!
