Taint is a new publication that celebrates the importance in variety of political expression. Each edition focuses on a different single political issue and how that issue can be explored within the different disciplines of creativity. Taint was born out of frustration with the monotony of current fashion and arts magazines. It seeks to re-engage with those who feel alienated or disconnected from political discourse.
Looking to release Issue #1, ‘The Gender Issue’ in Summer 2014, Taint recently launched a Kickstarter campaign with the hope of raising the £3,000 it’s going to cost to get made. Here at People of Print we’re big advocates of the power of collective funding methods such as Kickstarter, so we wish them all the luck in the world.
The publication is going to be bright and beautifully put together with creatives taking on issues that are close to their hearts, giving a truly earnest approach to the saturated world of fashion and art magazines.
