Learn how to make your own linocut print in this workshop for complete beginners. Taught by Haychley Webb from Stellabox Designs. Visit my Instagram at @stellaboxdesigns and my website www.stellabox.co.uk for more details.
I believe anyone can learn linocut printmaking. You don’t need an artistic background; I provide example designs for you to use. In my workshop you’ll learn step-by-step how to make a simple A5 linocut print, the start of your linocut journey. We will use black ink and a variety of different papers.
You’ll begin by drawing your own design or using one of the designs provided and transferring it to a linocut block. As a group we’ll go through the stages of carving, inking and printing your block either by hand or using a small press. We’ll talk about tools and techniques and you can ask as many questions as you like. Participants will leave the workshop with their carved lino block and their printed design.
All tools and materials are provided. The workshop is very hands-on, with everything explained in demonstrations as you go along in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.
