This 2 Day workshop is aimed at those who would like learn how to print photographs with riso using the CMYK process, and dive deeper into this technique.
July 20th – Introduction to risograph printing
and setting up files
The workshop starts with an overview of how the risograph and its impact on photography – what is possible as well as its constraints.
We will then go through a step-by-step process where you will learn how to prepare your image to print in separate layers. We will separate the images into channels, edit them and get them ready for riso printing.
We will play with the raster options the machine provides us, as well as colour combinations.
You will print your first design!
You will het handy pre-recorded videos so you can start playing at home with the images of your choosing and prepare for the 2nd week.
July 27th- CMYK printing.
In this second evening we will have time to look at your files and answer any questions you might have.
We will look at the possibilities of faux-cmyk and see what results can be achieved.
You get to print with up to 4 riso colours!
This is a workshop for people interested in experimenting and ready to dive into file-prep. Please keep in mind that this workshop is quite technical 🙂
