From 15 February from 8:30pm to 11:00pm. Five meetings of 2.5 hours each, focusing attention on linocut and linking the printing activity to the contemporary declination with analysis of the international phenomenon of Rubber Stamping, accompanied by a specific bibliographical selection. The course is held by Federico Blu di Prussia.
Minimum number of members: 5. Maximum number of members: 10.
Registration fee including drawing, engraving and printing materials for the five meetings: €110 per participant. Laboratory open to all.
Registration open from Porto Burci and managed by the secretarial service for the Tecchio Center spaces.
- Meeting 1: Introduction to linoleumgraphy through the presentation of the guide with specific texts to learn more about at home and carry out the activity independently beyond the course with clear references.
- Meeting 2: Design and transfer of the sketch onto the matrix. Tips for creating a balanced composition, with attention to the specular nature of the image.
- Meeting 3: Demonstration of carving, gouges and engraving tools to test the approach to different matrices through a first phase of engraving on various surfaces.
- Meeting 4: The cleanliness of the matrix, the peculiarities of the materials, the choices behind the application of a support during the printing phase. Possible variations in publishing and illustration between paper, fabric and environments.
- Meeting 5: Colors and rollers, brief excursus on printing materials. Inking phase and conclusion of the laboratory with final impression on paper. Everyone will take the outcome of the course with them.
Participants can bring with them a pencil case with their own drawing material or a starting idea to develop during the course.
