SUMMARY:Paint! Pattern! Print!
DESCRIPTION:This new exhibition at the Fashion + Textiles Museum in London honours the work of Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell\, a pioneering sister act who not only created stunning\, painterly prints for major design houses\, they broke the mould by taking control of the entire manufacturing process too. It’s a riotous celebration of the creative journey that’ll have you itching to doodle on the way home. \n was last modified: October 13th\, 2026 by

SUMMARY:Sarah Gillespie: Birded and Eyed
DESCRIPTION:Kestle Barton presents a second solo exhibition by Sarah Gillespie\, bringing together new works in mezzotint and drawing. The exhibition takes its title from a line by the American poet Jane Hirshfield\, reflecting Gillespie’s ongoing attention to the animate\, watchful presence of the\nnatural world. \nDeveloped through sustained observation of the woods\, meadows and night-life around both Kestle Barton and the artist’s home in Devon\, these works continue Gillespie’s distinctive exploration of moths and other small\, often overlooked\, inhabitants of these environments. Her practice is rooted in close looking — an attentiveness to fragility\, pattern and transformation — where the act of drawing becomes a way of registering both physical detail and a more elusive sense of encounter. \nWorking primarily in mezzotint\, a printmaking process known for its depth of tone and capacity for subtle gradation\, Gillespie brings a particular intensity to her subjects. Moths emerge from dark grounds\, their wings and markings rendered with precision yet retaining a sense of movement and impermanence. Alongside these prints\, drawings extend this enquiry\, tracing the forms and rhythms of the surrounding landscape. All mezzotints in the exhibition will be available. A group of ‘spent’ copper etching plates from the artist’s studio will also be on display\, offering further insight into the printing process and existing as objects of quiet material presence in their own right. Four large Garden Tiger drawings\, commissioned by the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery\, Exeter (2025)\, are included in the exhibition.\nAs with her previous exhibition at Kestle Barton in 2020\, Gillespie’s work is closely connected to the specific ecology of the place. The gallery\, set within a former farmstead and surrounded by cultivated gardens and wild margins\, provides a context in which these images resonate — not as isolated studies but as part of a wider\, living environment. The exhibition invites a slower mode of looking\, attuned to cycles of light and darkness\, presence and disappearance. \nAlongside Hirshfield’s words\, the exhibition is informed by a line from Heraclitus — ‘nature likes to be hid’. Gillespie’s sustained engagement with camouflage and patterning reflects both the evolutionary intelligence of her subjects and the difficulty of fully apprehending them. These works suggest a world in which what is most vital often remains partially concealed\, held in a state of quiet resistance to being seen. \nIn bringing these works together\, Birded and Eyed reflects on the idea of being both observer and observed — a shifting relationship between human and non-human worlds\, held in a state of quiet attention. \n was last modified: October 13th\, 2026 by

SUMMARY:IN DIESER STADT
DESCRIPTION:SERIGRAFFEUR und LA FÈVE präsentieren: \nIN DIESER STADT\neine Ausstellung von Sebastian Wagner. \n \n\nSERIGRAFFEUR and LA FÈVE present: \nIN THIS CITY \nan exhibition by Sebastian Wagner. \nWe are pleased to invite you to a new exhibition at Café La Fève this summer. From late June through late August\, we will be showcasing screen prints by Sebastian Wagner. The Berlin-based graphic artist and fine art printer Sebastian Wagner is the creative force behind the Serigraphica print studio. The exhibition features various editions of cityscapes—works you may already recognize from his stalls at Berlin art and design markets. Among his best-known pieces\, they reveal his unique perspective on the city\, blending graphic design\, architecture\, and screen printing. The exhibition is complemented by a series of large-format “makulaturen” (proofs or waste prints). These are created directly during the screen printing process as colors\, shapes\, and motifs collide and overlap. What begins as mere working material often develops a distinct appeal of its own—existing somewhere between chance and deliberate composition. \nClosing event (Finnissage): Wednesday\, September 30\, from 7 PM \nLa Fève Café\, Karl-Kunger-Str. 58\nBerlin Alt-Treptow\nThe artist will be present. \n was last modified: October 13th\, 2026 by

SUMMARY:GOOD NEWS Poster Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:17 Top Illustrators are giving away their art! Come along to the Blas Cafe on 8 October at 6pm for the launch of this exhibition and you will receive a free newspaper poster book of 17 amazing artworks.\n\nFeaturing the work of…\nCATHY HOGAN / SHANE CLUSKEY / ALAN DUNNE / CHRIS HAUGHTON  / GRACE ENEMAKU / JOHN DEVOLLE / ASHWIN CHACKO / LISA MCHUGO / AMY LAUREN / KATE ESCOLIN / AILEEN CROSSLEY / PAUL NUGENT / KENYA DEMPSEY / NIALL MCCORMACK / LAUREN O’NEILL / HARRY BURTON / LYDIA HUGHES\n\n\nThis exhibition came about because we wanted to shine a light on some of the brilliant illustrators who are part of Illustrators Ireland. Having decided we needed some sort of theme\, we picked the title ‘Good News’ partly as a nod to the tabloid – sized\, newsprint format of this poster book\, but also in an attempt to put something positive out there. We acknowledge that there is a lot wrong in the world today\, the news is full of horrible stories of the worst of humanity\, newspapers and politicians deal in fear and doom. This can often leave us feeling powerless and apathetic (this is what they want!) In order to inspire people to stand up and make a difference in this world we also need to celebrate the good things. Whether that’s a positive\, global news story or something much more personal\, something that makes you happy or gives you a moment of joy. Or even just the act of making some art for no good reason at all.\n was last modified: October 13th\, 2026 by
