SUMMARY:GOOD NEWS Poster Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:17 Top Illustrators are giving away their art! Come along to the Blas Cafe on 8 October at 6pm for the launch of this exhibition and you will receive a free newspaper poster book of 17 amazing artworks.\n\nFeaturing the work of…\nCATHY HOGAN / SHANE CLUSKEY / ALAN DUNNE / CHRIS HAUGHTON  / GRACE ENEMAKU / JOHN DEVOLLE / ASHWIN CHACKO / LISA MCHUGO / AMY LAUREN / KATE ESCOLIN / AILEEN CROSSLEY / PAUL NUGENT / KENYA DEMPSEY / NIALL MCCORMACK / LAUREN O’NEILL / HARRY BURTON / LYDIA HUGHES\n\n\nThis exhibition came about because we wanted to shine a light on some of the brilliant illustrators who are part of Illustrators Ireland. Having decided we needed some sort of theme\, we picked the title ‘Good News’ partly as a nod to the tabloid – sized\, newsprint format of this poster book\, but also in an attempt to put something positive out there. We acknowledge that there is a lot wrong in the world today\, the news is full of horrible stories of the worst of humanity\, newspapers and politicians deal in fear and doom. This can often leave us feeling powerless and apathetic (this is what they want!) In order to inspire people to stand up and make a difference in this world we also need to celebrate the good things. Whether that’s a positive\, global news story or something much more personal\, something that makes you happy or gives you a moment of joy. Or even just the act of making some art for no good reason at all.\nLetterpress Exhibition was last modified: September 29th\, 2026 by

Give Print a Chance is the ultimate expression of this commitment to bring screen printing to the general public as an art as democratic and accessible as it is dazzling. \nLocated on Pl. John Lennon in Barcelona’s charismatic Gràcia neighbourhood\, the name of this annual screen printing event in Barcelona came about easily and almost naturally. What better name than Give Print a Chance in homage to the song Give Peace a Chance by the legendary Liverpool musician? \nAbout the market and the line-up of artists \nGive Print a Chance is a great small-format marketplace. Thus\, in 2024 and 2023\, the total flow of attendees was 900 and 1.100 people .And three years ago there were almost 800 people. So we are very happy to have consolidated Give Print a Chance after the two years of pandemic absence. \nThe market\, like the Print Workers Barcelona project\, has always had an international vocation. And just as the prints in the Print Workers gallery catalogue are sent all over the world\, the market participants are usually local and international artists in equal parts. \nOver the course of 9 editions\, international screen printing artists such as Oli Fowler ( UK )\, Elisa Talentino (Italy)\, Antighost (Germany)\, Tind (Greece)\, Mirjam Dijkema (Netherlands)\, Mandy Doubt (UK)\, Olivier Le Zizien (France)\, Ofycina Peryferie (Poland)\, Ileana Rovetta (Portugal)\, Rat Trap (Colombia) or The Fingersmith Letterpress (Singapore) have shared space with local artists such as Miguel Bustos\, Error Design\, Serigrafia Monoestereo or Jan Barceló\, among many others. \nIf you visit Barcelona for Christmas you should know that… \nGive Print a Chance is a must for lovers of illustration\, design and 100% handmade gifts with free admission. \nAnd if you want to attend as an audience and need accommodation\, Casa Jam Barcelona also offers you a discount. \nSo you can enjoy this event focused on screen printing in Barcelona. A city that you will love. \nLetterpress Exhibition was last modified: September 29th\, 2026 by
