Inprint is a collective of 3 young designers, Holly Gleave, Emily Briselden Waters and Chloe Adams who run a series of events including print fairs and exhibitions which collaborate with local creative’s around the North West. They started the fair because they noticed a lack of opportunities for creative’s to sell their work and network with other print makers within Liverpool. They are all passionate about print and also meeting other like minded people and find that the events are a great way to bring together local designers and illustrators and give them a platform to promote themselves and the work that they do. As well as the print fair aspect of our events we also try to incorporate small exhibition spaces within the venues to give another element for visitors and sellers involved.
Soup Kitchen – Print Fair and Exhibition took place on Sunday 24th November. They took over the whole venue with the print fair downstairs in the basement and the exhibition hanging in the main area of Soup Kitchen. There were 15 sellers at the fair which include some familiar faces to Inprint events but also a few newcomers including Ian Anderson of Designers Republic, Textbook Studios and Yuck Posters. All of the work on offer was produced by local designers and illustrators with a wide variety for all tastes and budgets. The exhibition upstairs also featured work from designers and illustrators on the theme of ‘Playing with print’. They have had an open brief to which anyone can respond, asking creatives to create peices of work which use traditional print process but in an experimental and playful way.
