From January to April 2017 London Print Studio present their exhibition of contemporary children’s illustrations based around the theme of journeys. The display will showcase several pieces of work from international prize winning children’s book illustrators all of whom have come together to create a space in which children can explore exciting new narratives and imagery. The show functions not only as a display that can be viewed, but also something that can be interacted with. For children, there are workshops and trails where they can read, draw and tell stories as they’re guided through the enchanting images and characters.
A selection of the artists work include Eda Akaltun accompanied by her bagel loving New York bulldog Marcel, French artist Olivier Latyk’s gorgeously intricate and detailed laser cut illustrations, David Litchfield with his beloved The Bear and The Piano and an exciting book collaboration between artist/illustrator Oliver Jeffers and typographer Sam Winston.
The show’s full collection of featuring artists include:
Eda Akaltun, Jim Field, Olivier Latyk, David Litchfield, Daniel Egnéus, Marc Martin, Fran Preston-Gannon, David Roberts, Christian Robinson, Brendan Wenzel, Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston.
