Bristol-based purveyors of medium-brow outerwear BOTTLE OF SMOKE have recently launched two new t-shirts, both designed by Tokyo weirdo Katsufumi Takihana. Following up from the international smash hit MUNCHKIN garment at the end of last year, the MIND CONTROL and BAD PITT designs further exemplify a nonchalance towards creating a cohesive brand narrative. A demon-toting Japanese warrior and the consequences of an ill-performed head shrinking ritual provide the main themes on these latest shirts.
Both designs are DTG prints on fairtrade, 100% organic cotton white t-shirts for maximum guilt-free and luxuriously soft comfort.
Katsufumi Takihana is an artist based in Tokyo. His paintings merge a cartoonish innocence with reams of humourous observational cynicism. The result is an original and ever-evolving selection of work, acting as a window into the mind of a warped genius.
