For their latest collection and part of their ongoing artist series, Californian streetwear brand Stussy have teamed up with Japanese artist Tomoo Gokita. In conjunction with their recent beach inspired SS16 line, the collection fuses classic surrealism with 80s Neo-Expressionism for their exclusive 5 piece collection.
Early in his career Tomoo was renowned for his graphic design and illustrative work. Now, his work is widely recognised for his monochromatic and cinematic Neo-surrealist paintings. Often with archetypal and sexualised figures at the epicentre, their faces are always concealed.
The Spring capsule collection features 5 original pieces, 4 tees and a woven poplin shirt, covering all of his talents from his graphic design days to the present.
