Sydney based graphic design studio Design by Toko have been approached by photographer Juliet Taylor to design her self published book. Enjoying complete creative freedom they decided to spice up the publication design by hand pouring the book sleeves out of resin. The two tone colour scheme is based on a pallet found in Juliets photographs. Watch the video of the process below!
After some research we decided to individually pour the sleeves out of resin. On paper this seemed logical and very doable reality proved to be a bit more complicated and the project required some serious engineering. Many failures later the first sleeve came out of the mould and we immediately knew this would be a very special project.
