‘Ficciones Typografika’ is one of many creative experiments curated by Erik Brandt, a first-rate graphic designer from Minnesota. This experimental project explores the relationship between type and urban space. The artworks are displayed at Brandt’s own garage where it faces the street in the neighbourhood. Within two months, by asking designers to create one-off 24″x36″ posters to fit a 72″x36″ board, this domestic showcase has instantaneously claimed international attention. The ongoing exhibition is now including prints from renowned designers and also aims to display more eclectic design pieces from all over the world.
