Marta Eir is an illustrator and graphic designer, with two very different styles. Whilst her illustration work takes a more mysterious, whimsical approach, her design portfolio communicates a visual language that is clear and concise. Creating graphics for posters and publications, she owns a contemporary perspective exploring shape and layout.
One of her projects includes Mæna, an annual magazine about graphic design in Iceland, published by the Iceland Academy of Arts. With this years theme being technology, designers, academics and students all wrote articles on subjects surrounding this topic, which in turn led to the design being inspired by innovation. To reflect the ever evolving technology advancements, they used laser cutting and folding techniques instead of traditional binding methods.
