Sigrid Calon

Dutch designer Sigrid Calon is responsible for these amazing geometric patterns that look like they just jumped right out of a scientific textbook. Her own sense of curiosity lends itself as the main inspiration to her designs, as she tries to create aesthetic order in a world of information overload and chaos. Experimenting with repetition and arrangement, she portrays an organised formation of visual data that is enjoyable and easy to absorb. Although her use of colour and shape are reminiscent of a 1970’s influence, she injects a high dose of modernity and playfulness in her finished patterns.
