Immersed with a burnt orange colour palettes, surreal landscapes and imagery is the work of London based artist & illustrator Charlotte Edey. We had the pleasure of briefly speaking to this talented designer to find out a little more about what her work is all about.”Lightly surreal, my work is a calm contemplation on identity. The themes of femininity, fluidity and sensuality are explored within conflicting and impossible spaces. Drawing on modernist architecture and arid landscapes, these sterile spaces are punctuated with touches of organic idyll and passively isolated figures.”
Since following her Foundation year at Chelsea School of Art & Design in 2011, Edey has worked with clients including the BBC, Vogue and Monica Vinader. In addition Edey’s work has also been exhibited across the UK at venues including at The Oxo Tower, Somerset House, The Old Truman Brewery & The Arnolfini alongside galleries in USA, Russia & Europe.
