Illustrator, animator, and maker of things Danielle Rhoda has recently collaborated on an exclusive Giclee print for Creative Boom, an art, design, and visual culture printed magazine.
Having spent some months in Barcelona in 2021, Danielle spent a lot of her time socialising in Ciutadella park. She describes; “Placed in the centre of the busy, bustling city, it seemed like an oasis – an island you can escape to, so full of life while at the same time so peaceful”. Danielle enjoyed recording some of the park goers in a series of drawings and sketches which come together in this exclusive digital print.
For years, Danielle has been drawing people and places, taking inspiration directly from observation. Her drawings are mainly based on everyday life, and within her work she captures feelings of nostalgia using naive line and simple compositions created from mixed medium; inks, pencils, and digital.
