The work of Mark Whalen is surreal and mesmerising. The content of his illustrations often feature strange wandering figures mixed in a world that is like nothing you have seen before. Influenced by mixture of scientific, geometric and outer space subjects, his paintings question the structures and rituals of life. His work has been shown across the world and has more recently been applied to ceramic and woven pieces.
