The work of Virginie Morgand is a cheerful mix of illustrated posters, graphic novels and screen printed books. Getting a playful element into her work seems key, and this is enhanced by the strong primary colours that she uses and simple one line shapes. Human characters feature heavily in her work and it is a delight to explore her initial sketches that capture different personalities and characteristics, before seeing them translated into final artworks. Screen printed publications also show of her cheerful colour pallette choices, with perfect hues that fit long summertime days.
