Daniel Kraus is a photographer currently based in Jacksonville, Florida with current work investigating the effects of time, history and the use of found images. With his portfolio demonstrating particularly considered and personal projects 3 bodies of work really stood out to me. Defacement represents and repurposes forgotten images and places. Kentucky is a particularly compelling photo series that documents the life and humble adapted homes of Martha and Arnold who live in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, which leads onto another project Employee adapted from 35mm negatives found on the floor in their cabin documenting eerie mutilated images of Walmart workers.
