Issue 65 of our monthly poster-come-magazine publication features the work of the Godfather of 90s skate culture, Ed Templeton. Ed has achieved legendary status as not only a professional skateboarder, but also as an artist and street photographer. Inside, we catch up with the man of many talents about the links between his various passions, arguing with Breitbart fans, and the poetry of creating photography.
Ed’s photography and artworks capture the honesty and aesthetics of the urban environments that he encounters; from his iconic images of teenagers smoking, to his paintings of the locals of his town. Having grown up skating the coasts of California, Ed became a professional skateboarder, and in 1993 he founded his skateboard company, Toy Machine. Shortly after going pro he became a core member of The Beautiful Loser Collective, a group of artists who explore DIY street art taking inspiration from hip-hop and punk.
Issue 65 is printed on G.F Smith paper by Pressision Ltd using CMYK, and is proudly sponsored by Foilco.
