Chris Brown; founder and creative director of Refueled magazine has deemed it’s new issue the “Summer of Love” with elements of sand, surf, skate and song.
Brown has always seen Refueled magazine as a journal – providing us not only a window into creative people, culture, and community, but a peek into one man’s personal quest to make media itself an art form.
“A new concept of celebration beneath the human underground must emerge, become conscious, and be shared, so a revolution can be formed with a renaissance of compassion, awareness, and love, and the revelation of unity for all mankind,” Brown says, referring back to an announcement in the 1967 edition of the Haight-Ashbury’s hippie newspaper, the San Franciso Oracle. He continues; “I wanted to tap into that same positive vibe with this issue, and share the folks I felt were involved in that creative philosophy as well.”
Issue 17 features include Indoek, Hotel Lucine, Cartwheel Studio, Picnic Surf Shapes, Surf Sam, West of Death, and Robert Kuhn.
