Idzik Idzikowski is a printmaker currently residing in Lodz, Poland. He is an assistant at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts, and as part of this role teaches students all types of graphical techniques; from traditional graphic processes, to digital and experimental approaches to the medium.
Idzik Idzikowski’s work focuses on limited edition art prints, graphic prints, greeting cards, and hand printed textiles, with each item thoughtfully crafted by hand. His work is an investigation of the representations that result from the combination of unexpected materials and feelings. “Every project is something new but I’m trying to put a focus on not only expertly crafting my work, but educating the spectator on how it is created and the rich history of the craft” describes the printmaker.
His latest series explores the screen printing technique. Idzik Idzikowski has created small-scale silk screen forms through a series of trial and error, fully showcasing the printing technique and combining portraiture and abstract forms and patterns.
