You may have remembered us featuring Dutch Illustrator Wijtze Valkema’s coffee cup illustration collaboration project, Drip For Drip a few years ago. This week we’re featuring his next feat, Octobercup, a project consisting of 30 coffee cups by 30 illustrators, revealing one cup per day on their Instagram page, their website and a group show at Blackbird Coffee in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Drip For Drip began in 2014 where Valkema invited his illustrator friends to trade a coffee cup illustration. Fast forward to 2018, and 17 editions later (Halloween, movies, music and various other themes) and you’ll get to the current big group shop: the Octobercup Edition. For this exciting project in collaboration with Pretty Picture Club, Valkema invited 30 illustrators to create a coffee cup illustration around the theme of October posting them online on instagram and website daily, growing into the full group show of 30 cups by 30 illustrators.
