I stumbled upon Benoît Luisière’s work via Phases Magazine and I was mightily impressed by his efforts to create work that challenges the notion of self and other. French artist Benoît Luisière works primarily in the medium of photomontage. And with a prime focus on family portraits as his most frequently chosen subject matter, Luisière uses manual cut-and-paste techniques in order to create visually dynamic hybrids that engage viewers with themes concerning the life cycle.
