Independent publishing has become more popular than ever thanks to progress in technology. Print is now more easily available, easily created and perhaps even more easily discarded. Presenting Gwion Christmas, a Cardiff based Illustrator who’s work revolves around the interaction between controlled and uncontrolled processes. From zines to surreal illustrative prints, this designer explains a little more about the rational of his work.
“To expand hand drawn and machine made elements are combined with found textures and composited digitally to make finished images. Working in collaboration with other artists really fuels my practice and I regularly post work back and forth with friends which we later collate into zines” explains Gwion.
“These zines are a conversation between myself and MAS WOID.”
