Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez

Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez is an Illustrator based in Baltimore that has spent the last 2 years developing a digital collage technique that he prints and recomposes into his works. I love his “Vinyl Abstraction” project in which he portrays the sky saturated with electricity. Concerned the “expressiveness of a human touch” was missing from his digital collages Lesser moved towards further abstraction by adding a physical interface to his process – using his prints as a colour palette and adding a painted dimension. The developed process allows the precision of digital media to hybridize with traditional techniques as his imagery manipulates light, forms and colours through composition.
