Besides a mixture of colourful abstract and hand-rendered elements that she uses to create her work, multidisciplinary artist Marta Veludo is also able to work with a wide range of mediums, using paper, fabric, or a piece of furniture to produce a wonderful collection of design artwork, illustrations and art installations.
Born in Lisbon, Veludo had spent three years studying and working in Barcelona before she decided to move to Amsterdam, the city in which she nows resides and works. She directs her focus between graphic design, illustration, moving image and art installation. All her work gives you the sense of the creative life that she leads as a mixed-media artist, passing on her positive energy to worldwide audience. So far she has collaborated with a number of international brands and select clients and has launched her own silk-scarf design, ‘Be Ready Be Cool’.
