Born in Maryland, but now residing in Brooklyn, Maya Hayuk is a Ukrainian-American artist. Her work combines intricate patterns and bright colours, and over her diverse career, she’s worked with heaps of different disciplines, from creating installations and murals to photographs, textiles and prints. I’m really into her identifiable kaleidoscopic pattern style of work that she is most renowned for, it’s simple but effective and can be applied to a multitude of mediums.
