Time spent indoors inspired Sandrine Anne Sautejeau, a French-Chilean illustrator and graphic designer, to conceive her Mental Escapes series. The project depicts dream-like scenarios through windows, with scenes of far away places and distant lands. The first two designs of this unfolding series portray images of portals and hot-air balloons as interfaces for mental wanderlust.
The prints Ventana and Globos are now available as A3 Risograph prints, in 4-colour limited editions of 30 copies each. The pieces were printed at La Mano Edicione, a print shop local to Sandrine that collaborates with Chilean artists and assists them throughout the printing process.
Based in Santiago, over the past five years, Sandrine has specialised in creating festival branding, gig posters and album artwork for the music industry, as well as developing illustrations for her own brand of printed products.
