Stefanie Leinhos | The Long Goodbye

Stefanie Leinhos is interested in the imagery of comics and in notions evolving around artistic production, such as copy and original, repetition and reproduction. She works in many different ways including silhouettes, murals, prints and books. Stefanie is currently based in Leipzig, Germany. The drawing for The Long Goodbye was made directly on a zinc plate. It only existed for the time being of the printing process itself. The zinc plate was washed out afterwards and handed over to the next user. Say ‘goodbye’ to the original drawing and ‘hello’ to the original print.
