Combining their love for high quality textile and paper goods, Richard as Esme Winter have worked together in creating a brand that effortlessly produce beautiful products with a useful purpose. Their work celebrates good quality materials for classic uses, from decorative papers to fabric design. Their work has lead to many interesting collaboration with other brands and designers including PORT Magazine, who invited them to create furnishing fabrics for chairs by the iconic mid-century designer Gio Ponti. As well as a recent project in collaboration with the London Centre for Book Arts where they designed and printed letterpress invites for the launch of the re-designed issue 20 of Elephant magazine.
Their collection of patterns and prints mix geometric designs with gentle and well considered colour palettes. Using traditional printing processes, with rich vegetable inks they achieve an undeniably strong finish. This is all complimented by decisions on materials like the high quality archival paper and consideration to the process that makes for a beautiful body of work.
