INTERPLAY is a soon-to-open exhibition curated by artist consultancy POKO featuring a series of 26 paintings that include four collections of hand-painted works on paper by Australian artist Playmetric, aka Colin Bigelow. Originally from Australia, Colin now calls London home, and for the past 11 years, he has worked as an Art Director and illustrator in the animation industry. With an esteemed career in animation under his belt, he’s worked as an illustrator for Nexus, Buck and Passion Pictures amongst other established clients.
The four series that form the focus of the exhibition are; Dynamics, Identity, Proximity and Technology, exploring the intersection of art and technology, a lifelong obsession for Colin, and a fascinating and prescient subject today. With an overarching concept that information is ubiquitous and foes from the significant events that set up our universe to us as individuals and ultimately into the technology we create. Characterised by beautiful, bold colours and Colin’s iconic curious little characters, this exhibition is a must see for all graphic design and illustration lovers.
The exhibition will open on the 8th of November at the POKO Gallery in London.
