JONZO is an brand new, emerging Liverpool-based Risograph print + design studio set to launch officially in late March. As Liverpool’s first Risograph studio, they will provide a unique print, design and illustration service for creative freelancers, studios and independent businesses.

JONZO

JONZO is run by Lottie Brzozowski and Rachel Davey – two recent graduates of Graphic Arts at Liverpool John Moores University. They are one half designer and one half illustrator – the best of both worlds. After spending essentially the whole of our third year printing, playing, learning and experimenting with the courses own Risograph, and noticing a gap in the market in Liverpool, they decided that it would be great to set up their own Riso studio.

JONZO

They have a big passion for printed matter and enjoy the process of printing and production just as much as the designing and illustrating. With their Risograph, affectionately named Jonathan, they want to celebrate the creativity the city of Liverpool and the North West has to offer by offering this aesthetically pleasing, quick and cost effective style of printing. They will provide an opportunity to local creatives to print and produce their projects without having to outsource further afield, whilst maintaining a face-to-face relationship with clients and an open door policy in the studio.

JONZO

JONZO will be based in the creative area of Liverpool, known as the Baltic Triangle, and will be hosting a launch exhibition in late March time. JONZO’s clients so far include Tate Liverpool and Åbäke studio whom they worked with on the print and production of publications for the Art Turning Left exhibition at Tate Liverpool. So far they have 3 colours (black, red and green) but are in the process of recolouring two drums – one to blue and the other to orange.

JONZO

In the long term they’d like to offer workshops about the beauty of ‘Risography’ and put on events and exhibitions celebrating Jonathan’s quirks and capabilities.
