As businesses across the UK are planning strategies to make the return to the workplace a safe one, vinyl graphic experts Puck Studio have partnered with design studio InterestingProjects, to launch a range of wayfinding signage for a social distancing society. The result of the collaboration is Good Measures; a modular range of wayfinding tools and graphic stickers that elevate and uplift traditional health and safety signage that workers and consumers have become accustomed to, helping businesses function effectively whilst adhering to new government guidelines.
Rethinking how day to day environments are changing, Good Measures is a new kind of system that can be built to suit any space. Offering a new approach to conventional wayfinding, the vinyl’s are designed to help businesses and their staff navigate their ‘new’ environments, without making work environments feel like danger zones covered in hazard tape.
“Many of our clients include galleries, retailers and event venues, places where people are out in the world and engaging with spaces. Speaking to them, I realised there was a real need for signage that provides clear direction and communication in order to create a safe environment, but in an interesting and exceptional way.” David Gibbons, Puck Studio.
Utilising strong visual cues to communicate a range of messages, and designed with a range of business models in mind, Good Measures hope to be able to support offices, retail stores, restaurants, bars, galleries, and more who are observing this new way of life.
The range draws visual inspiration from interior design technical drawings, and includes lines, representations of textures, rulers and space markers, all repurposed with an elevated style and eye-catching palette. Available in an assortment of colourways and sizes, the range is divided into four categories; Queuing, Direction, 2M Distance, and Good Practice. Designed as a modular system that can be used for both interiors and exteriors, all signage comes with instructions for easy application to give businesses the flexibility of installing themselves. An installation service is also available. Alongside this range, Good Measures also offer a bespoke service in which business and brands can customise designs.
