Previously entertaining a quirky cartoon aesthetic for the fall/winter 15 campaign, where 2D pop art paintings were the primary inspiration for the 3D environments, Sagmeister & Walsh have continued their collaboration with Aïzone, maintaining the immersive art direction but shifting inspiration from illustration to illusion. The latest visual campaign sees the infusion of both the psychedelic and constructivist worlds as the striking optical illusions radiate amongst the mesmerising myriad of motifs, both juxtaposing and camouflaging into the vivid and trippy backdrops.
Once again, Sagmeister & Walsh have received the help of body painter Anastasia Durasova and set builders Sing-Sing in injecting a sense of realism into their imaginations. Predominantly decorated with vibrant hues of the primary palette, the style shifts from the harsh lines of the geometric grid to the kaleidoscopic prints which immerse the model within the set and intelligently warp perceptions to create the optical illusion of movement and vibrations.
The visual campaign will be showcased on billboards, in newspapers, in magazines and in stores across the Middle East.
