Useless Treasures are married couple Gal and Zohar De-Haas. Zohar is an illustrator and a designer, while Gal is a skillful producer and project manager. After years of spread freelance work, the pair joined forces and created Useless Treasures studio to focus on creating unique paper goods – starting with high-quality fine art prints through notebooks, journals, stickers, and more.
All of the studio’s products are designed and illustrated by Zohar, and Gal is responsible for finding the right manufacturers, communicating with them, sales, and distribution. They tell us; “The encounter between nature and modern life deeply inspires us. We inspire to create objects that tell a story, require a second glance, and provoc the mind. We want to create a memorable, aesthetic that will be recognized with the studio.”
The studio use the best quality materials and manufacturers while keeping the environment in mind. Reducing their use of plastic to the minimum, all of their shipping materials and packaging are plastic-free. All prints are printed in Berlin upon request to reduce waste and lost stocks.
In the future, they hope to enlarge their range of products and reach new audiences. Zohar and Gal conclude; “We dream of creating pieces that touch hearts, surprise the eyes and lift the soul. Always aspiring to add some extra to the ordinary.”
