SUMMARY:Perfect Bind: Bookbinding for RISO by Onomatopee and Rossy Liu
DESCRIPTION:Combine risoprinting and perfect bind bookbinding techniques to create and take home your own custom journal \nPerfect Bind: Bookbinding for RISO is a collaborative workshop launched by Onomatopee and Rossy Liu. The workshop runs from 10:00 to 17:00 and consists of two parts: a riso printing workshop to make the cover\, and a bookbinding workshop to make the notebook. Perfecting binding is a widely used binding technic. The interior pages of the book are clamped and glued at the spine before wrapping it in a soft cover. Each participant will walk away with a perfect-bound notebook\, with a mono colour riso-printed cover designed by themselves. \n10:00 -11:00 cover design\n11:00 -12:00 riso printing\n13:00 -16:00 perfect binding \nStudents get a discounted price. Before graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven\, she had a degree in Graphic and Media Design from the London College of Communication and worked at Book Arts Workshop in London. Her experience of working in bookbinding studios has nurtured her enthusiasm for the medium of paper. She has collaborated with cultural centres in the Netherlands to host various paper-based workshops\, including printmaking\, bookbinding\, and sculpture.
