Self taught artist, Kemi Mai works from the UK producing digital paintings. Using Photoshop and a tablet Kemi Mai creates beautifully simplistic portraits with real paint like qualities to them. It is interesting to see the sketched beginnings these digital images build up from. Mai uses the digital medium similarly to a normal painter would. Unusual medium aside, Kemi Mais vivid portraits draw you in with their moody lighting and deep colours. I would love to see these brought into the physical world as large prints in a gallery.
