Devoted to the promotion and production of art, design, performance and innovative business ideas, Stour Space is a ‘socially minded organisation’ residing in an abandoned building turned multi functional art space. Working in collaboration with independent businesses, local residents, artists and committees, they are set to become a prominent platform and a creative hub for ‘the best unknown, unseen and unheard artists to showcase their work’.
This week (October 1st) the space will be opening as an evening destination with a bar and musical entertainment from classically trained jazz musicians, giving the public the chance to browse the exhibits as the sun goes down. The opening night will also see the début of photographer Cydney Cosette Holms solo exhibition These Small Things among other events like film viewings, yoga and spoken word performances.
WHERE: Stour Space Art Gallery, Hackney Wick, E3 2PA.
WHEN: Ongoing – opening night 1st October. 7.30pm – 11.30pm.
The space will be opening first thing in the morning as usual but now closing between 10.30pm – 11.30pm during the week and between 11.30pm – 2am on the weekend (Timings vary depending on what is running in the space).
