Charlie Soffe | Castor and Pollux

Charlie Soffe is a Birmingham-based illustrator who runs an independent skate clothing brand called KOTB, which allows him to combine his passion for skateboarding, clothing and illustration into one entity. For this particular project, he tried to remove his work from the known and explore another world. In doing so he found himself depicting the story of Greek duo Castor and Pollux, one where the two brothers must alternate between Olympus and Hades forever. The concertina allows you to enter the barren limbo state the two brothers lurk. He has created an uneasiness between the two brothers and the viewer with the long spacing between each illustration. Lovely stuff.
