Streets of New York Illustrated by Tulips and Chimneys

posted by Anna Chayasatit June 23, 2016

What do you typically do while you wait for your train? For New York commuters, Cape Town-based creative Studio Tulips and Chimneys have brought joy to the New York subway stations with their unbelievably intricate posters created for everyday commuters to get absorbed in the imagined visions of Queens and the Lower East side. Produced for New York real estate agency StreetEasy, these two posters explore the infinite stories that make up New York life and the characters who inhabit them.

Recently, Office of Baby have unveiled StreetEasy’s campaign and we are struck by what seems to be a ‘Where’s Wally’ style and the intricate details in the two posters created by one of the Strange Beast family members, Tulips and Chimneys. And we promise, you can definitely spend hours staring and find a new personality every time!

Established in 2007, Strange Beast is a creative studio, led by Executive Producer Kitty Turley and Development Director Paul White. With more than 25 creatives on their roster, Strange Beast provides a unique approach and an artistically led solution to briefs.
