Our 58th issue of Posterzine™ celebrates the work of artist Lynnie Z, and covers all things including annoying the neighbours from her studio, to her obsession with faces, and finding her flow. Lynnie’s style is incredibly distinctive, and she utilises a bold colour palette to depict her playful and charismatic characters. Mostly illustrating female figures, the artist uses ink, paint, and paint pens to bring them to life.
Lynnie’s female characters gaze out flirtatiously, poised among patterns, bold geometric shapes, and tropical plants. Her mother who is also an artist, grew up in Tanzania, and Lynnie Z’s childhood trips to the continent are a clear influence in her work. After completing a degree in Illustration at Kingston University, the artist now lives and works in East London.
Her career so far has seen Lynnie design a summer collection for Monki, hold a solo exhibition at Shoreditch’s BookClub, and create huge, vibrant sculptures as part of an on-going collaboration with water bottle brand Arto LIFEWTR.
In this beautiful issue of our monthly publication you can read an exclusive interview with the artist, and bag a limited edition A1 poster of her vibrant Elemental print. Our latest edition was Printed by Pressision Ltd using CMYK and kindly sponsored by Foilco. and G . F Smith.
