The North Face has unveiled its latest collaboration with CDG by COMME des GARÇONS, presenting a Spring/Summer 2026 capsule that explores the territory between technical outdoor apparel and conceptual fashion. Rooted in the idea of freedom through exploration, the collection brings together The North Face’s performance-driven heritage with CDG’s stripped-back, experimental aesthetic.
The SS26 release marks the third chapter in the ongoing partnership between the two brands, continuing their exploration of functional silhouettes filtered through CDG’s minimal, graphic lens. Designed to move fluidly between city and nature, the capsule sits at the intersection of practicality and creative vision. The North Face, a global leader in technical outdoor wear, meets CDG, the diffusion line under Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS umbrella, known for its non-conventional, forward-thinking approach to design.

This season’s drop leans into a strict monochrome palette, forming an eight-piece wardrobe that merges high-performance utility with everyday streetwear staples. The collection includes a technical outerwear piece, hoodie, crewneck sweatshirt, matching pants, logo T-shirts, and a set of accessories including a cap, knit beanie, and tote bag.
The lineup is unified by dual-branded graphics, with the logos of both brands appearing side by side across the garments. The pieces are intentionally stripped of unnecessary detail, instead focusing on material texture, silhouette, and the contrast of white logos against deep black fabrics. Leading the range is a co-branded jacket designed for weather protection, supported by heavyweight fleece essentials that bridge outdoor functionality with streetwear comfort.
Across the collection, the aesthetic remains intentionally minimal. Rather than relying on overt graphics or bold colour, the collaboration emphasises clarity of form, durable materials, and subtle branding. It’s a capsule built on the balance between conceptual fashion and real-world functionality.

This ongoing partnership reflects a wider movement in fashion, where technical outdoor brands and conceptual labels intersect to create garments that function equally well in urban and natural environments. In this case, the collaboration stays close to the core DNA of both brands: performance-led design from The North Face and the understated, experimental sensibility of CDG.
The North Face × CDG SS26 collection launched on February 6, 2026, and is available through selected COMME des GARÇONS stores, Dover Street Market locations, and The North Face retailers across China, Japan, and Europe.
