For two decades, Blurb has empowered creators to design, publish, and share their stories through bookstore-quality books. This anniversary isn’t just about looking back, it’s about what comes next.

Partnering with Blurb

Together with blurb, we’re launching a contest to inspire creatives to bring their ideas in to a printed publication. Ten creators will receive free book production* with Blurb, turning their vision into something tangible.

Why Print-on-Demand?

Print-on-demand (POD) is a modern publishing method that allows creators to print books only when needed, whether it’s one copy or one hundred. Unlike traditional publishing, which requires large upfront investments and bulk printing, POD eliminates the guesswork and financial risk. We’re looking for bold, brilliant ideas from across the creative spectrum. Illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, screenprinters, storytellers, and makers of all kinds. Whether it’s a graphic novel, a photo series, or something we haven’t seen before, we want to hear from you. Share your work and you could be selected to bring your vision to life with Blurb.

Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility
The contest is open globally to individuals worldwide who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of Blurb, People of Print, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
2. Entry Limit
Only one entry per person is allowed. Multiple submissions will not be considered.
3. How to Enter
To participate, entrants must submit:
A brief description of their book concept (1-2 sentences)
Their current stage in the process (idea, partial assets, or print-ready files)
Entries must be submitted via the official contest form [insert link] during the contest period.
4. Contest Period
The contest begins on 9/29/25 and ends on 10/31/25 lasting one full month. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
5. Selection Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by a panel from Blurb and People of Print based on:
Concept – originality, relevance, and storytelling potential
Visual Appeal – design strength and creative presentation
Project Readiness – how close the project is to being print-ready
6. Prizes
Ten winners will be selected to receive:
Free book production through Blurb (up to $35)
Promotion via Blurb and People of Print’s social and digital channels
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via email within 2 weeks of the contest closing date. If a winner does not respond within five business days, an alternate winner may be selected.
8. Rights & Usage
By entering, participants grant Blurb and People of Print the right to feature their submitted project (including concept and visuals) in promotional materials, social media, and press releases related to the contest.
9. Disqualification
Blurb reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, inappropriate, or violates intellectual property rights.
10. Agreement to Terms
Participation in the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
11. Data Privacy & Consent
By entering the contest, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data by People of Print and Blurb for the purposes of contest administration and follow-up communication. Entrant data may be shared between People of Print and Blurb. Participants must explicitly agree to this data sharing via a consent checkbox on the entry form.
