Berlin-based publishing house Vetro Edition’s latest release takes a look at the past and future of digital art. Since the NFT explosion of 2021, Right Click Save has become the leading online magazine for digital art around the world, documenting a new community of creators and collectors while driving critical conversations about emerging technology. Published by Vetro Editions, Right Click Save – The New Digital Art Community is a 352-page physical anthology of essays, interviews, and roundtable discussions that celebrates a new generation of digital creators together with pioneering artists historically ignored by the art world.

Chapters of the book include an interview with pioneering artist Vera Molnar who chats all thing NFTs, generative art, and the machine imaginaire; a reflection on art after the NFT explosion from crypto artist Osinachi; and a look at why the computer is the ultimate tool of abstraction from Samia Halaby.

For Vetro’s limited print edition, Right Click Save’s Editor-in-Chief Alex Estorick has curated a special collection of the magazine’s contributions to digital art history. Writing in the introduction, he says; “given the reach of the RCS network, it has been a singular challenge to encapsulate the more than 250 articles (and many podcasts) so far published on the website in one physical edition. Numerous conversations and crypto histories have had to be left out that warrant inclusion, alongside a raft of expert analyses that have made complex concepts comprehensible to the lay reader.”  He continues; “However, we believe that this selection provides the clearest window on both a moment in time and a wide-ranging movement [. . .] There should be nothing radical about inclusivity, but in the expanding world of art it remains an urgent necessity and the guiding principle of Right Click Save.”

The book’s foreword is provided by ClubNFT CEO and leading digital art collector, Jason Bailey, highlighting that the book is designed for both seasoned digital art enthusiasts as well as newcomers to the conversation. By bringing attention to the voices of a new “golden” generation of digital artists alongside vital voices from the recent past, Right Click Save documents the moment when digital art came of age through the voices of its global community.
